With the new addition of QuietWalk Plus, our customers are wondering what the difference between QuietWalk and QuietWalk Plus.
The main benefits for QuietWalk Plus is:
- Enhanced film – The film allows the glue to adhere to the floor and subfloor. It is malleable to allow nail down flooring.
- More Dense Pad – The pad is more dense which is to properly support nail down applications
It was also created to consolidate sku’s and allow contractors/flooring installers to inventory one underlayment that would cover floating, glue or nail-down flooring applications.
QuietWalk and QuietWalk Plus has the same acoustical benefits.

Can you mix quietwalk and quietwalk plus? I see that is is automatically bundled 360 and 100 sf but one is Plus+ and the other isn’t.
We suggest using the same product during installation however QuietWalk and QuietWalk Plus can be used only if you are doing a floating floor installation.
Hi
Having recently installed quiet walk thru out the bsmt under laminate flooring , i find that we are now short of underlayment. can i use the “plus” in a hallway where it would only meet at the door of a room with quiet walk installed?
i looked at the specs and see the thickness is the same .
Can you advise .
Appreciate
Yes, you can use QuietWalk Plus as it is the same thickness and same makeup of product. The difference is the underlayment is denser and the film can allow nail through. Shouldn’t know a difference when walking on.
I am putting down a solid bamboo click floating floor. It appears that both Quietwalk and Quietwalk Plus will both work. Is there any benefit of Quietwalk over Plus in this application? I’ve found a supplier of the Plus product that is a little less expensive.
Thanks for the question Jim! In your scenario, you wouldn’t see any extra benefits from QuietWalk over QuietWalk Plus. If you have found the Plus at a better price I would go with that one!
