Superior Sound Reduction

Superior Sound Reduction

Recycled fibers absorb sound and keep it from traveling to other rooms. Makes click-together floating floors sound solid underfoot.

Water Protection

Water Protection

Dri-Wick technology allows installation over concrete to “breathe” - managing vapors from becoming bulk moisture. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying floors from harmful moisture.

Compression Resistant

Compression Resistant

Dense recycled fiber structure supports the click-together mechanism and will uphold its supportive configuration under the consistent traffic of the overlying floor.

Smoothing Out Imperfections

Smoothing Out Imperfections

Firm and supportive but flexible enough to form around subfloor surface roughness, helps to cut down on extra subfloor surface prepping time.

The difference between QuietWalk and QuietWalk Plus is the attached film. QuietWalk Plus has a specialized film designed to accept nails and adhesives so it works with floating, nail-down, and glue-down installation methods of laminate and wood floors. QuietWalk is approved for floating wood and laminate only.

QuietWalk is not approved for use with luxury vinyl products. We recommend QuietWalk Luxury Vinyl for this application.

That is not an intended application, but there should be no issue to use QuietWalk under an area rug.

QuietWalk has only been tested and approved for use over a substrate, below a floating laminate or wood floor. We have not tested it for use between layers of plywood and cannot speak to the suitability.

QuietWalk is approved for a concrete subfloor under laminate flooring and has an attached vapor barrier. You shouldn’t need an additional vapor barrier unless the moisture vapor emissions of your slab exceed 5lbs/1000sf/24hrs.

All of the underlayments in our QuietWalk family of products would be excellent in this application. They are all approved for use over concrete and under laminate flooring.

QuietWalk is approved for floating applications only. QuietWalk Plus can be installed in a double glued application with engineered wood.

QuietWalk can be used below a floating engineered hardwood floor. If you are planning on stapling your engineered wood floor, you would need to use QuietWalk Plus.

The QuietWalk family of products is GreenGuard Gold Certified to be extremely low in VOC’s and chemical emissions.

QuietWalk will absolutely help with that. It has an R-value of 0.58, which adds thermal insulation and keeps your floors from feeling as cold to the touch.

Easy to install underlayment

Perfect to place over tiled floor to lay the laminate.

Helps with sound

First time using this product and it seems to dampened the sound. It was used on a second floor with no insulation in the first floor. Be careful moving around on this when laying your floor as it tears easy. Adds some cushioning to the floor too.

Nice product

I’ve installed laminate without an additional underlayment and didn’t like the hollow sounds underfoot. When doing my LVP install, I decided to use this product. It’s pretty easy to roll out and use. I first used a box cutter and then a stout pair of sissors to cut the rest. Taped the seams with Roberts seam tape. I definitely feel this product does it’s job. The floor feels solid without any odd noises. These are big rolls which make it easy to get coverage. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Best underlayment, also a moisture barrier

Thick felt underlayment and moisture barrier. I am replacing the entire floor of my downstairs with a bamboo engineered hardwood and doing the job myself. This underlayment is super easy to work with. Easy to roll out, has adhesive near the seams which is easy to use, and you can easily cut this underlayment with a utility knife (be sure to have some extra blades). I’m using this on a concrete floor so the moisture barrier is required, nice to have it all in one step/product. My legs do not get as tired walking around on this floor, thanks to this underlayment. I used Gorilla tape for the outside edges and seam between rolls. Great stuff, I’m so happy with this purchase!
