The QuietWarmth system requires a dedicated 20 amp circuit for each thermostat or power module. In a 120V system each circuit can power up to 150 square feet of mats. In a 240V system each circuit can power up to 300 square feet of mats.

For the QuietWarmth radiant heating system we do not offer a thermostat without the GFCI protection, as it is a requirement in the National Electrical Code for radiant floor heating systems. If there is GFCI in the thermostat and the breaker, it could cause nuisance tripping. You should reach out to your local code enforcement for guidance. They may be able to waive the requirement since that will be a dedicated circuit that is already protected by a GFCI.

You can operate multiple QuietWarmth heating mats with one thermostat. For a 120V system you can power up to 150 sf; for 240V system you can power up to 300 sf per thermostat. If your area exceeds that, you can use a Power Module to extend that coverage. A Power Module will require its own dedicated 20 amp circuit.

For the QuietWarmth radiant heating system we do not offer a thermostat without the GFCI protection, as it is a requirement in the National Electrical Code for radiant floor heating systems. The GFCI function cannot be disabled. If there is GFCI in the thermostat and the breaker, it could cause nuisance tripping. You should reach out to your electrician for guidance on replacing the breaker if possible, or another option for thermostat.

The QuietWarmth system is not designed to be connected to a power cord and plugged in to an outlet. Per National Electrical Code, this product needs to be wired to its own 20 amp dedicated circuit.

QuietWarmth thermostats are designed for use with radiant floor heat systems. We do not test them with baseboard heaters and do not know the compatibility of the products.

The QuietWarmth Thermostats can be used to control radiant floor heat. We recommend it for use with our QuietWarmth Radiant Heat System.

All QuietWarmth thermostats have a built-in GFCI, so we do not recommend a GFCI breaker as that can cause nuisance tripping. The system should be installed on a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

User manuals, installation manuals, and various other resources can be found on our website in our Knowledge Center. Visit the Installation Instructions tab and select the user manual for the model of thermostat you purchased.

The thermostat itself will detect the ambient temperature in the room, the in-floor sensor will detect the temperature of the flooring.

When using the 120V QuietWarmth system, the maximum square footage connected to one thermostat is 150 square feet. When using the 240V system, the maximum square footage would be 300 square feet.

QuietWarmth Thermostats are able to control multiple QuietWarmth mats. For a 120V system, you can have up to 150 square feet of mats on one thermostat and for the 240V system, you can have up to 300 square feet.

If you visit the QuietWarmth Thermostat tab on our website, you will find all our thermostat models. Select the model you own, and under the Resources section there will be a User Manual you can download.
